Our use of the VMWare platform allows us to provide “Exact Replicas” of our client’s server(s) and data. We perform regular “snapshots” to insure that data is not “aged out” and move those backups to an alternate offsite location for easy recovery.
Every client’s data is valuable. However, some data cannot have even a remote chance of being lost… patient data being one such type. In additon to the VMWare major plaform, we insure at least two other forms of data backup… using modern methods of Electronic Storage, only relying on the older tape backup strategies as a “third tier”, last resort…
My experience with VMware began with Stonetree…a small IT consulting firm out in the Rockies. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think that this experience would have blossomed into a full fledged responsibility for Navy Medicine (DoD) where I manage 500 servers global-wide with 100 VM servers in the mix to support our nation’s war fighters.
